4 houseful shows of “Uttarabhoopa BeeChi” in a row!!!

ನಮಸ್ಕಾರ!

“ಉತ್ತರಭೂಪ ಬೀChi” ಯ ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು “Houseful” ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳಾಯಿತೆ೦ದು ತಿಳಿಸಲು ಹೆಮ್ಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ತ೦ಡದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲೇ ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಒ೦ದು ನಾಟಕದ ಮೊದಲ ನಾಲ್ಕೂ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನಗಳು ‘Houseful” ಆಯಿತು. ಇದು ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಾಹಿತಿ ದಿ|| ಬೀChi ಯವರ ಮೇಲಿನ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಮತ್ತು ಅವರ ಕೃತಿಗಳ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಗೌರವವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ನಾಟಕವು ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಲು ಕಾರಣರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ಧನ್ಯವಾದಗಳು. ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೆ ನಾವು ಚಿರಋಣಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ನಾಟಕವನ್ನು ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಾದ್ಯ೦ತ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದ ಹೊರಗೂ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶಿಸಲು ನಾವು ಇಚ್ಚಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.

Dear Patrons,

It’s a humongous response that we received for our comedy play – “UTTARABHOOPA BEECHI”. Last Tuesday and Wednesday (21^st and 22^nd Feb 2012) saw 2 houseful shows of this comedy play at Rangashankara. We had staged the same play on 20^th Dec 2011 and 20^th Jan 2012 at the same venue. So far in the history of Antharanga, this play stands out as the only play which has seen 4 houseful shows in a row!.

Many people have given feedback on this play – Thanks to all of them. Many of them wanted to know why we have not taken the real life story (based on his auto biography named “Bhayagraphy”). The answer to this is – He saw many ups and downs in his life. He lost his beloved son at a very young age. He was very disheartened by this and after this incident, he wrote many books with philosophical view with a touch of wittiness in it. BeeChi was a great person. He is known as Kannada’s George Bernard Shaw! Therefore, the writer of the play – N. C. Mahesh worked on his writings instead of his life story so that we can reach many audiences and try conveying his works through humor.  

We came to know that there were many audiences who came to all the 4 shows of this play!!! This shows the popularity of the play. Thanks to those audience.

We are really hoping to showcase this play in all the districts of Karnataka and outside.
