Our troupe ANTHARANGA proudly presents the repeat shows of our new play "SHAALABHANJIKE" on 30th and 31st January 2010.
This play is base on a Historic-Romantic-Thriller story that is believed to have happened during the period of Rashtrakoota Ruler DANTIDURGA.
The story has been written by famous Agricultural Scientist Dr. K.N Ganeshaiah and the one who adopted this to the play is S.R. Girish from Shimoga. This story was published in the famous Kannada weekly called "SUDHA" in the year 2004.
This play has been directed by young director ARCHANA SHYAM for the troupe of ANTHARANGA. She has 10+ years of experience in Kannada theater and has acted in more than 50 plays and 1000+ shows in India and abroad for various troupe including ANTHARANGA (Uncle Shyam - Her Father), VEDIKE (C.R. Simha), KALAGANGOTHRI (Dr. B.V. Rajaram) to name a few. This is her debutant directorial venture...
First show of this play SHAALABHANJIKE was staged at RANGASHANKARA on 11th December 2009, as a part of "NATKA BENGLOORU 2009" theater festival, organized by Karnataka Nataka Academy and NSD, Bengalooru
